God is the Answer

Are you struggling with finances or your health? Turn to God and he will guide you and prosper you when you follow his ways. Are you having problems in your relationships?  God can help you. Do you struggle with drug, alcohol, or nicotine (cigarette) addiction?  God is the answer! No matter what trials or difficult situations you are facing today, know that God is the answer and when you call on him in faith, he will answer and help you through it all and bring you out better off than you were before.

Why do so many people go through life struggling with so many different things and not turn to the Lord for help? There may be several possible reasons for this. One possible reason is that they do not believe in God. Another reason could be that they are skeptical and feel that the power of God and the fact he created the whole world and its inhabitants and that it is too good to be true. A third reason could be that they only see God as an angry God or have some other skewered view of what God is really like and do not see God as he really is. Yes, those who do evil in the eyes of the Lord (especially intentionally) will suffer his wrath. But that is not the only side there is to God. There is also the forgiving, merciful, loving, and faithful God who showers his grace, favor, and blessings on his people. When you realize you have sinned against God and repent (confess your sin and ask for forgiveness), God is faithful to forgive you. You do not have to walk around or live your life feeling condemned and guilty. Turn to God and his ways and he will forgive you and help guide you to the right path to take. Don’t ever believe that you have done something so horribly wrong that God could never forgive you. If you want God in your life and you want to experience his love, then let go of your guilt by confessing your sins to him and like King David told us in Psalm 32, he will forgive your sins and wipe the slate clean!  In Psalm 103:3, David says, “He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases,” and if you keep reading, in verses 9-12 he goes on to say, “He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

God is slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love (Psalm 103:8). He loves you and wants to be good to you. He wants you to stop struggling with your problems, as Jesus mentions in Matthew 11:28-30 when he says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” No matter what you have done or what problems you face, they are not a surprise to God and he will help you and bring you out of the pit (deliver you safely from your current circumstances) and place you on solid ground (turn your situation around in your favor and makes things better than they were even before your current problems started). He won’t help you without your permission though because he gave us free will. You must ask him for help and truly believe that he can and is willing to help you.

Whether you are the person struggling with an addiction or in a relationship with someone who is struggling with an addiction, pray to God for help. God’s mighty power with help you or your significant other, friend, family member, or whoever in your life is struggling with the addiction. God’s power can break the chains of addiction and heal you and everyone else affected by this addiction (whether it be the person suffering from the addiction or loved ones of the person who has the addiction). The Apostle James tells us in James 5:16, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” When you pray to God and have no doubt in your heart, you will receive what you asked for (Mark 11:24). When you believe God has the ability to help and believe he will help you and you pray with a sincere heart for yours or someone else’s health, situation, or life to improve and you believe things can and will get better, then they will. It probably won’t happen overnight, but if you stay in faith and keep believing God to make things right in your life then he will turn things around in your favor or in favor of the person you are praying for.

God is also good at comforting you when you need it. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, the Apostle Paul tells us, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” God doesn’t want us to go through life stressed, depressed, miserable, angry, or struggling. God wants us to have a long, healthy, prosperous life (Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has good plans for us to prosper and not harm us and plans for hope and a future). He will comfort you when you need comfort. God will help you in times of trouble. When you are anxious and stressed and you release it all to him, God will give you his peace. No matter what you and your loved ones (friends, family, relatives, significant others and spouses, kids) are going through, God is the answer! God is a mighty Savior. Put your faith, trust, and hope in God and he will help you, guide you, forgive you and show you mercy, protect you, and shower you with his grace, love, favor, and blessings. God loves you unconditionally, so  I encourage you to give him your burdens and cares and follow his path for the good life he has planned for you.
